Mike Wagner has been dancing,teaching dance lessons, instructing dance and competing in dance competitions for many years. He has been a World Champion dancer twice. 1995 UCWDC Div II World Champion and 1998 UCWDC Champion ~ Division World Champion.The Detroit Metropolitan area is very lucky to have a dance instructor at this level of dancing! Mike also has several ProAm students that achieved first place in their particular division, not only in regular competitions during the year, but also achieving first place in their division at the World's Competition, while dancing with Mike Wagner in ProAm competitions.Age is not a problem. Mike ahs had ProAm students from teenager to the Silver and Gold level of Dance Competition.  Mike has also taught dance lessons at a 2 Ballroom Dance Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The dance types that he teaches is vast. Two Step,Waltz,East Coast Swing,West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Polka, Salsa, Nite Club, Hustle, Latin dances and many more! Mike holds Dance Workshops on Saturdays about every other month. When Mike holds the Dance Workshops, he tries to teach different dance techniques that will help in all types of dancing.  Dancers really benefit from these specialized Dance Workshops. Types of dance workshops Mike has held ~ Spin Technique ~ Dance Frame ~ Lead and Follow, etc.  The material that Mike focuses on is usually dance techniques that is not covered in a regular dance class session. These workshops help male dancers as well as female dancers. When attending Mike's classes, you do not need to have a dance partner.  Mike makes sure that everyone gets an opportunity to dance. Having a World Champion Dancer in the Detroit Metro area is a real treat. Mike has also competed in Swing Dance competitions, so he has much more variety in dance than just Country Western Dance. Mike also has many regular scheduled private dance lessons. Mike's dance instruction for private dance lessons focus on proper dance technique which he cannot focus on during group dance lessons. Mike has daytime as well as evening appointments available for scheduled private dance lessons.  Mike instructs couples, as well as individual males and females.  Mike has competed in competitions with many ProAm Students. Many of his ProAm Students have won 1st place at the World's UCWDC Competitions. Mike stresses dance technique and frame. If one is considering learning dance for competition, having Mike as an instructor will help you in all the areas that judges look for when one dances in competitions.  Mike also judges couples in dance competitions at many UCWDC dance competitions.  Mike is also available to instruct dance lessons at dance competitions, whether they be for group workshops or for scheduled private lessons.
